Originally from Staffordshire, home to the famous original members of the Climax
Blues Band, Geoff has played with a number of bands in and around the
Midlands - DRIVE, UZZ, and latterly DANIEL QUILP who supported a number of
top main line artists including the loudest band in the world at that time -
“Grand Funk Railroad”.

Geoff moved to South Yorkshire in early 70's and was invited to join the
SHIMMER Band who under the personal management of Neil Crossland
Promotions toured extensively as a 7 piece live show and included a compliment
of sax, trombone and trumpet musicians to a very high standard. Together for
in excess of 7 years the SHIMMER BAND consistently remained a leading club,
function and cabaret act entertaining audiences throughout the UK and was
officially crowned the premier club artists at Batley Variety Club in 1975.

Bill Smith Management of Sheffield approached Geoff in 1981 to form a full
Showband to support Sheffield leading vocalist Johny Callander. The act was
an eight piece unit and was named GEORGE 7TH which played at many top UK
ocations including Nite-clubs Hotels and Cabaret venues. Geoff joined a flegling
band from Sheffield called "Jorge"in 2006. A 5 piece harmony band which
became rapidly popular on the Sheffield club circuit and also worked with
tribute acts, which included musicians from famed shows of Leo Sayer and
Peter Frampton.

Geoff joined "Live It Up" in December 2008 and is delighted with the highly
professional show this band produces.
